After participating in WIMUN New York HS, you will be better prepared for what to expect at the UN!

  • Foreign Service

    • If you want a greater focus on your home nation’s policy, the foreign service may be a good fit for you! Diplomats in the foreign service are stationed in embassies around the world and work to advance their nation's interests allowing you to put into action the diplomatic skills you learn at WIMUN.

  • NGOs and NPOs

    • Are you passionate about a specific cause, a job at a non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-profit organization (NPO) could be the right fit for you! These organizations work to create change for a specific cause but are independent from the government.

  • International Service

    • Consider giving back to the community with international service! WIMUN launched their first Human Rights Council Simulation in Geneva and it will be making a return in New York! The HRC gives you insight into the humanitarian aid needed in many crises, and combined with Act2Impact you will be able to apply your WIMUN skills in governments or NGOs in a meaningful way.

  • Research

    • If you enjoy researching your country’s policies in preparation for WIMUN, then a career in research is for you!
