Since 2019, WIMUN has been held in Geneva, Switzerland. Geneva is the UN’s second main city, home to the UN Human Rights Council, the World Health Organization, the International Labour Organization, and many other specialized agencies. The conference gives participants the unique opportunity to simulate UN bodies and agencies mere footsteps away from their real meeting places.
The 2023 edition of WIMUN Geneva is the first in-person WIMUN conference post-COVID, with more than 300 youth from around the world expected to participate in the conference. The conference will features intensive training workshops taught by a former UN official, briefings on important agenda items by UN Agencies, the WIMUN approach, and conference sessions at one of Geneva’s premier conference venues.
Each participant is responsible for determining if a visa is required to enter Switzerland. Additionally, each participants is responsible for securing their own visa before the conference begins. For guidance on Swiss visa requirements, please click HERE.
Each participant who has completed their registration in full and had paid the conference fee, can request a letter of invitation from WFUNA to assist in the process of visa application or fundraising. WIMUN Geneva 2023 will take place the Centre International de Conférences Genève (International Conference Center Geneva) which is located at Rue de Varembé 17 and lies in the heart of the international district of Geneva. The Palais des Nations and several other UN institutions, such as WHO, ILO and UNHCR, are just footsteps away. The CICG can easily be reached from Geneva main station, Geneva airport, and all hotels located in the city center.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any financial support for WIMUN Geneva 2023. We encourage you, however, to seek funding through scholarships or funds, local business, or your school/university. Previous WIMUN participants had significant success with these methods, which enabled them to participate in our conferences.
The next step is to pay your fees. To do so, you can go to your application on mymun and opening the “payment” tab. You will have possibility to complete payment using a credit card. If you need to pay through a bank transfer, please email us at wimun.geneva@wfuna.org.
