In mid-February, 15 high school and university students attended a Youth Training Program at the UN in Geneva. Through a collaboration with ThinkBank International, WFUNA hosted these bright students and offered a tailored program that involved the UN modalities, sustainable development, trade, humanitarian issues and career development.
Throughout the week, students visited organisations such as the ILO, WTO, IOM, UNHCR, ICRC and the Chinese Mission to the UN, where they were briefed by experts who then discussed the issues with them. Before their arrival, students prepared group presentations on the SDGs that they worked on during the week through different workshops, and then presented in the shape of a debate in front of an SDG expert.
