With the aim of exploring the interlinkages between Goal 16 and the rest of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as connections with other UN processes, the first session of the 16+ Forum was held on the morning of April 20, 2016. The event was co-hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations.
The panel was moderated by Bonian Golmohammadi, Secretary-General of WFUNA. Introductory remarks were given by H.E. Ms. Oh Youngju, Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations and H.E. Mr. Mohamed Khaled Khiari, Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations. The other panelists included Chris Murgatroyd, Policy Advisor at UNDP’s Bureau for Policy and Programme Support, Christina Diez from International Movement ATD Fourth World, and Busani Sibindi on behalf of Together 2030.
