An informal meeting was organized on July 13, 2018 between WFUNA and various UNAs attending the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). UNA representatives from Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Dominican Republic and Finland were present at the meeting. The meeting served as an opportunity to inform of initiatives UNAs and WFUNA are undertaking to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Different opportunities and challenges were brought up in this meeting and UNAs also offered their potential aims for the coming years.
During the meeting, WFUNA Secretary-General Mr. Bonian Golmohammadi and UNA-Dominican Republic representative Mr. Emil Chireno invited UNAs to the 42nd WFUNA Plenary Assembly to take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from October 17-22, 2018.
