The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) had the opportunity to meet with representatives of its United Nations Associations during the 2019 high-level political forum (HLPF) on sustainable development. HLPF was held from 9th of July until the 18th of July, 2019 under the theme “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”, where SDGs 4, 8, 10, 13, 16 and 17 were reviewed.
Representatives from UNA Canada, UNA Denmark, UNA Finland, UNA Iceland, UNA Mauritius, UNA Netherlands, UNA Norway, and UNA Sweden met on Monday 15th of July to discuss current initiatives and ways to improve collaboration amongst UNAs in future editions of the forum. WFUNA’s Secretary General, Mr. Bonian Golmohammadi and WFUNA’s Peace and Security Officer, Mr. Pablo Angulo-Troconis were also present.
