Before they end their mandate as UN Youth Delegates to Romania, we wanted to highlight our interview with Eliza Chirilă, 22, and Cosmin Chiriță, 23. Here they described how they became involved with the programme and the ideas they had on how to expand its reach in their home country.

From 18-22 August, WFUNA had the pleasure of welcoming 21 remarkable Chinese students to our "Advanced Training at the UN: China" Program, organized in cooperation with the Research Centre of United Nations and International Organizations (RCUNIO). For 5 days, participants had the opportunity to get to know better the UN in Geneva and its work around the issues of Technology, sustainable Development, Trade and Humanitarian Affairs.

WFUNA Youth Network Celebrates International Youth Day with a New Video

August 12 is International Youth Day! To celebrate the day, we wanted to higlight the importance of youth voices in the post-2015 development agenda. WFUNA Youth Network and UNA youth members chose one option from the 16 options available on MyWorld2015 and we compiled them in a video below. European Youth Reps Share Best Practices at UNA Meeting

During the WFUNA European UNAs meeting, which took place from 2-3 June 2014 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, youth representatives from participating UNAs, UN Youth Associations, chapters, sections and wings joined the general meeting as well as organized a meeting specifically for youth reps on 3 June.

As part of our series, we got to chat with Chapa Perera and Adhil Bakeer Markar, the UN Youth Delegates from Sri Lanka. It was especially an exciting time as the World Conference on Youth 2014 was to be held in their home country. Both delegates are studying law--Perera at the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka, Markar at Sri Lanka Law College--and both have impressive leadership experience in youth organizations in their country. They tell us about their road to the UN and what plans they have for the youth of Sri Lanka.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Elise Zerrath and Florian Nowack, the 2013 UN Youth Delegates from Germany, when they were in New York last fall for the General Assembly. Elise, 26, is from Lübeck, Germany and studied International Relations and Human Geography from St. Andrews University in Scotland. Florian, 24, hails from Lohne, Germany and studied International Business and Intercultural Studies at Heilbronn University.
