WFUNA Attends UN Secretary-General’s Special Briefing for NGOs
Following the 64th Annual UN Department of Public Information (UNDPI)/NGO meeting in Bonn last month, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon held a special meeting with NGO representatives at the United Nations in New York on 26 October.
WFUNA, like all civil society organizations, is currently developing its plans for the Rio +20 UN Sustainable Development conference to be held in June in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This conference will be critical to securing renewed political commitment for sustainable development.

WFUNA has joined 33 other NGOs in signing a letter from the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) that urges UN Member States to support the Accountability, Coherence, and Transparency (ACT) Group's "Code of Conduct regarding Security Council action against genocide, crimes against humanity, or war crimes."
